Calm Down: Skincare for Rosacea

According to the National Rosacea Society (NRS), 1 in 10 suffer from Rosacea, a widespread but poorly understood disorder, with about half of those sufferers also having Ocular Rosacea. Yes, Rosacea can also impact your eyes!

Although the exact cause of Rosacea is not fully understood, experts believe that a combination of genetic and environmental factors may play a role in its development. Triggers such as sun exposure, spicy foods, alcohol, stress, certain medications and —noteworthy from our perch—some cosmetics/skincare can exacerbate symptoms of Rosacea.

If you suffer from this skin condition and annoying flare-ups—characterized by redness, flushing, and sometimes pimples on the face—finding the right beauty products can be just as irritating.

Since our launch in 2020, we've received copious positive feedback and at times, emotional comments in social media from Rosacea sufferers. That's no accident. When we formulated our skincare and makeup, we did so with sensitivities and skin conditions in mind.

Recently, an eye care specialist reached out to inform us that Èyes Are The Story products were extremely effective in reducing Rosacea-induced facial redness. We decided to put it to the test. So our founder asked her father (a life-long Rosacea sufferer), Dr. David A. Sullivan, if he would try to confirm that discovery. Because scientific research has been his life, he replied: Of course!

For the next month Dr. Sullivan used Èyes Are The Story products, which are clinically-proven safe for sensitive eyes and skin. More specifically he used the cleanser and serum duo (termed the “Power Couple”) for one month. His findings: "The result, as shown in the before and after images, was that my facial skin redness essentially disappeared. No filters were used on these pictures."

Left: Before Èyes Are The Story, Dr. Sullivan exhibited tremendous redness.

Right: After using Èyes Are The Story skincare, Dr. Sullivan's symptoms markedly improved.

Side-by-side comparison of our willing subject, Dr. David A. Sullivan, who has lived with Rosacea his entire life.

Èyes Are The Story ‘Power Couple’ can reduce the signs of Rosacea, making it a great skincare option for Rosacea and for those with sensitive skin.

If you or someone you know is suffering from Rosacea, please consider trying and/or recommending Èyes Are The Story skincare. We'd love to hear from you, if you'd like to share your results.
